I can’t believe we have a two-year-old. Time really does fly. Here is Aiden’s two-year-old milestones update including development.
The biggest change between 21-months and this two-year-old milestones update is that Aiden is potty trained!!! He still wears diapers at nap and bedtime. A post with all the details is coming soon! As far as height and weight, he only gained about one pound but he grew three inches.
Aiden is a chatterbox. He talks a lot…like all the time. His vocabulary is really big he puts sentences together and many times Dan and I are wondering how he knows some of the things he says! He is also really funny. He cracks us up constantly. “No” is his favorite word for sure.
When he isn’t talking he is singing. He knows so many songs. He loves to dance too.He prefers movies to television, but his favorite show is Sesame Street (aka “Elmo”). His favorite movies are Moana, Finding Dory, and Trolls. He can actually act out 90% of Moana…it’s crazy!
He is obsessed with trains. My mom got him this amazing train table for his birthday and almost two weeks later it is still all he wants to do from the moment he gets up to before he goes to sleep (he didn’t even want to open up his other gifts). He still loves his cars and balls too. He has a new found love for coloring and painting. Now that the weather is getting cold we are looking forward to more arts and crafts projects.
Disclosure: I received the book The Birthday Thief at no cost in exchange for my honest opinion. This post includes affiliate links. This means if you make a purchase I may make a small commission at no additional cost to you.
He still loves reading. We have to read at least two bedtime stories. His favorite bed time stories are Fox in Sox, Paddington, and any of personalized Wonderbly books we have.
He is very much in a “monkey see, monkey do” phase and wants to try everything we are doing. When I am working out at our neighborhood boot camp Aiden likes to come out and do squats and pushups. When Dan is doing yoga he likes to join in and do “oga”.
He still loves to eat, especially breakfast. His favorite foods are eggs, oatmeal, waffles, and fruit. We can tell when he is going to go through a growth spurt because he will eat 3-4 scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and fruit.
I am so happy that he is still the sweetest cuddle bug.
We had a fun day for his birthday this year. His big gift was the train table from my mom and then he got a Duplo play set, Finding Dory dining set, and this perfect Trolls shirt that says “how about No”. I was also so excited that Wonderbly sent over a new personalized book called The Birthday Thief.
The Birthday Thief is a sweet story that is unique based on your child’s birth month. Aiden’s story is about a little boy named Aiden whose birthday was stolen. He sets off on an adventure to find his birthday and each of the clues relates to his birthday. For example, his “moon maker” is number 29 and his guide is “Prince November”. As always the details are amazing and I spotted personalized details on so many pages. It makes a perfect gift and I know this will be added to Aiden’s favorite bedtime stories.
Wonderbly has agreed to giveaway a copy of The Birthday Thief. You can enter using the widget below. The giveaway ends on December 18. Can’t wait to win? Check out the Wonderbly website to get your own copy. Don’t forget to check out their not-so-secret offers page!
