It feels like I have been gone forever! August and September are my busiest months at my full-time job full of lots of travel. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to take Dan and Aiden along so I have lots of traveling-with-a-toddler related posts coming soon. I figured I would come back with a fun product review post and giveaway from Sleeping Baby. When I realized how much traveling would be happening at the end of the summer, and the multiple airports and hotels we would be in, I wanted something comfortable and portable that Aiden could use to take naps while we are on the go. I knew about Sleeping Baby’s SnooZieMat line and thought it would be a perfect solution.
SNOOZIEMAT, THE PERFECT NAP SOLUTION FOR TODDLERS
Disclosure: I received a SnooZieMat in exchange for my honest review. However, I have purchased Sleeping Baby products in the past and love them! Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog. All content and opinions expressed here are my own.
You may remember the company Sleeping Baby from one of my Ultimate First Year Essentials Posts on the ZipadeeZip. This company has so many great innovative products. I love checking back because it seems they are always coming out with something new and helpful. The company was created by a mom who was tackling the issue of baby sleep so I always know the products are going to be mom-approved!
This is a perfect nap-on-the-go solution for busy toddlers. It is a fleece-y polyester mat that folds into a backpack. It has a pillow (that does not detach — which is a good thing when you are traveling — one less thing to lose!) and a top section that a toddler can cuddle up under. They are super cute and there are several different character options. We chose the Choo Choo the Train SnooZieMat because of Aiden’s current love of trains. When it is folded it measures about 15 inches thick. It’s a little thicker than I would have liked, but it fits in a backpack and worked out just fine. It is easy to pull out and put back together.
We used the SnooZieMat a bunch on our trip. It was good in the airport in the downtime before our flight. He didn’t always nap but it was nice to not have to worry about him playing with his toys on the dirty airport floor. He did use it to nap during the flight. We had three seats together so we would lay it out across one of our laps and the middle seat and then Aiden would nap. We also really liked having it in the hotel. Hotel rooms get a lot of traffic and I don’t believe hotel room floors are the cleanest surfaces. We would lay out the mat and let Aiden play on the floor.
Now that we are home, I think it will be great to send to home care for nap time and his grandparents or cousins house for sleepovers. With the winter coming Dan is already planning on blanket forts with Aiden, so I am sure the SnooZieMat will come in handy for that too. It is machine washable so I just threw it in the laundry with the rest of our vacation stuff.
