Top 5 St Patricks Day Books Your Toddler Will Love

I am definitely getting to the point in my pregnancy where I am slowing down. My toddler, however, doesn’t know how to slow down!

Weekends can be especially tough since I am usually home with him on my own. The library and bookstore have been a lifesaver since it is too cold to go outside. Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I thought I would share a few St Patricks Day books we are loving.

Silly McGilly:

Aiden loves this book. It is sort of similar to Elf on the Shelf. It comes with a little doll that “plays tricks” while the child sleeps and the child wakes up to find the tricks. It’s a fun way to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day and I love that it comes with ideas for the tricks so I don’t have to think too hard about it.

S is for Shamrock:  An Ireland Alphabet:

I am fortunate enough to get to travel for work. A love of adventure is something I am trying to instill in Aiden too. This book teaches young kids all about Ireland in a way that is easy for them to understand by tying it to the alphabet.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Curious George:

Curious George books are always fun, but this is one of my favorite holiday Curious George books. It highlights a lot of fun St. Patrick’s Day traditions including step dancing, music, and food.

Pete the Cat The Great Leprechaun Chase:

We are big fans of Pete the Cat in our house. This cute story is about Pete’s leprechaun catching business. “Catching leprechauns” (or trying to) was always something I remember as a kid so I love sharing that with Aiden.

Jamie O’Rourke and the Big Potato:

I remember loving this book as a child so it was an obvious addition to our bookshelf when I saw it at the bookstore! About Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic preschooler and newborn, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my first little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Realizing that we would probably have more kids in the future, I wanted to document everything, so we would remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
