As a busy working mom of a toddler and a baby on the way safety is my number one priority. Aiden loved “showing” dad where the smoke alarms should go and pressing the button to test them to make sure they work. We installed ours on the wall about 12 inches from the ceiling (it should be no further than 12 inches from the ceiling) and away from lights/light fixtures.
