Since becoming a mom my clothing priorities have changed…a lot. I am running around after a toddler all day so I am looking for:
- Comfort
- Function
- Cost
- Style
In that order. Now that the summer is here, I thought I would share what I will be living in this summer!

My toddler mom life summer style must haves include:
Printed Tees: I love bragging about my mom status (and exhaustion) with cute printed shirts. Shops like River Babe Threads (BABYCASTAN to save 15%), Hudson Lillian Designs (CASTAN15 to save 15%), and even Old Navy and Target have really cute options.
Pocket Tees: Sometimes, a printed tee is not appropriate, but it’s the summer so getting me out of some kind of tee is nearly impossible! I love lightweight soft pocket tees. My favorite come from Madewell.
Relaxed Racerback Tanks: Where we live can get really hot and humid. For days that are just too hot to wear a tee I usually throw on a flowy racerback tank. I love the Madre All Day printed one by Riverbabe Threads and this slub racerback from Old Navy. This Slay All Day printed tank from Target is really cute too.
Shorts: I love how highrise shorts keep everything sucked in. I love this pair from American Eagle. I also love relaxed boyfriend shorts — these are a staple for toddler mom life summer style. They are perfect (comfortable) for running around with the toddler shorts. I love this pair from Old Navy.
Printed Shorts: I love printed shorts to add some visual interest to my summer t-shirt looks. I love these linen blend shorts from Old Navy (I also have a plain pair — pictured). They are mid-rise and not too short and they are really comfortable, plus you can’t beat the price!
Maxi Skirts/Dresses: I love how versatile maxi dresses are for the summer. They are long enough that I don’t have to worry about exposing anything when I am running around but they can also be dressed up or down. I love this one from the Gap and this one from PinkBlush.
