Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I remember my mom spending a lot of time making our Halloween costumes and they were always unique and fun. I can’t wait to do the same for my little guy! I don’t necessarily have the time (or talent) to hand make a costume, but I do want Aiden to have something original and more special than a store bought costume. An easy Halloween costume is a must. Plus, I hate spending money on something he will only use for a few hours. This year, I had a ton of ideas for what to dress Aiden as, in the end, I settled on a minion.
Here are some ideas if you are still looking for easy Halloween costumes with reusable pieces that your baby will be able to wear again.

Minion from Despicable Me
The Minion costume was really easy. First, I purchased a crochet minion hat. There are a ton of them on Etsy. I got mine from Maiwear and received it within a week. I love this because Aiden can use it during the winter. For the outfit, I had a pair of denim overalls (because what baby boy doesn’t have denim overalls) and a yellow long-sleeve bodysuit. I found a graphic of the minion symbol which I will print out and put on the overalls. Black moccasins and black gloves round out the Minion costume.
Want a matching parent costume? Have dad dress up in a black suit and he can be Gru.
Sully from Monsters Inc.
Sully was a close second for Aiden’s Halloween costume. I already had a Sully hat that we got at a craft fair earlier this year, but here is one on Etsy. You could do a simple coverall with the hat or something like these cute PJs — maybe with the Mike Wazzowski hat.
Yoda from Star Wars
I actually thought about this one a little late. If I didn’t already have the supplies for the minion I probably would dress Aiden as Yoda. I mean, how cute would it be if Dan dressed like Luke Skywalker and carried baby Yoda in the Ergo š
