Friday Favorites: The best finds of February week three

A Round-up of favorite products and reads for the first week of April by popular DC lifestyle blogger Baby Castan on Board, as part of her Friday Favorites series.

I can’t believe we are coming to the end of February. It’s been a crazy week here. Even though it was a short week with the President’s Day holiday it still seemed really long to me.We had two really warm days (one in the 70s and one in the 80s!) followed by more cold dreary February-like weather. Never the less, I am happy to share some of my favorite Friday finds for this week.

    1. Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Duo — One of my goals for 2018 is to appear more professionally at work. Since having Aiden I have to admit I have not focused enough on my work wardrobe and I started to realize that if I want others to take me seriously I need to dress the part. Part of this is actually trying to keep my nails painted. I normally don’t paint my nails because they chip so quickly and I don’t like constantly having to touch them up. I found this Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Duo at Target. It has a “miracle” gel cover that goes over the polish that is supposed to help it last two weeks. I used it last Sunday and the color is still going strong with little wear. I love this pale pink color it’s simple and understated.
    2. Nordstrom Sale — In my quest to boost my professional appearance I am also slowing upgrading my work clothes. I took advantage of the Nordstrom sale to pick up a few pieces. I got this fleece wrap cardi, this drape sleeveless blouse, and this gorgeous printed dress. The sale ends on the 25th!
    3. With the crazy weather, we have been spending a lot of time indoors. I love these crafts from Fab Working Mom Life. The little guy loves both spiders and rain so these are perfect.
    4. Postpartum Depression: Can Dad’s Suffer Too? — Postpartum depression is such an important topic, but can dad’s suffer from it too? I love this article by my friend Kristy from Pure Nurture on the Pregnancy Magazine website.

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic preschooler and newborn, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my first little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Realizing that we would probably have more kids in the future, I wanted to document everything, so we would remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
