One of the benefits to our stay at home order is that we have been able to see some brand new movies in the comfort of our home. We watched Disney’s Onward a couple of weeks ago when it premiered, and have been counting down the days to the Trolls World Tour premiere.

Since the big day is here I figured I would share our at-home Trolls World Tour movie premiere party with our preschooler. Keep on scrolling down for some super fun ideas!

I love doing movie nights as a family, and Aiden really likes them too. It is something a little different than the norm and allows us to change up our routine a bit. We are doing our Trolls World Tour premiere party night at dinner time and ordering pizza from a local pizza shop (we are trying to support our local businesses as much as we can).

We are renting the movie from Amazon Prime Video. I have a bunch of credits from no-rush shipping that I am able to use to save on the rental fee, but it is also available on Apple TV, Youtube, Fandango Now, and a few other places.

The Trolls World Tour website actually has a huge (43 pages!) activity packet that you can download with activities, decorations, and food ideas to go along with the movie. The coloring pages kept Aiden busy for a few days before the movie. It also helped give him something to look forward to all week. There is even a scavenger hunt so we took advantage of the opportunity to get some fresh air. The activity book also came with decorations so we will be decorating our playroom for the Trolls World Tour premiere — which is something new and exciting.

During this crazy time we are doing all that we can to make it as fun as possible for Aiden.

What about you? Is your preschooler excited for the Trolls World Tour premiere? I would love to hear if you are watching it in the  comments!

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic preschooler and newborn, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my first little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Realizing that we would probably have more kids in the future, I wanted to document everything, so we would remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
