In all honesty, laundry has never been one of my favorite chores. However, it was a lot easier back when I was single. With my messy husband and toddler I can’t believe the amount of laundry. I have learned that the best way to handle the laundry situation takes a lot of trial and error. That’s why I was so excited to find that Persil® ProClean® laundry detergent offers a trial size.

Whatever I use on Aiden clothes, I usually use on the rest of our clothes because I don’t want to spend a huge amount of time sorting clothes and doing multiple small loads. When I saw the 10.1 oz trial size of Persil laundry detergent in original scent while I was browsing Target® I knew it was the perfect opportunity to try it.

Persil ProClean Laundry Detergent

The trial size of Persil Laundry Detergent has enough detergent for six loads. This is perfect for  getting a sense of whether it will work for our family. Persil® ProClean® laundry detergent is a stain fighting, whitening, and brightening detergent which is exactly what our family needs. It was named “Best New Liquid Laundry Detergent” by Family Circle in 2017. It can be used in all machines, including HE.

Persil ProClean Laundry Detergent

We have been using the trial size for a few loads already, and I really like it for our everyday laundry and it even does well with toddler stains. The Persil Laundry Detergent works well in the schedule that I have created to spend less time in the laundry room and more time with my family.

Persil ProClean Laundry Detergent

It took some trial and error, but this is the schedule that works best for us:

  • Monday: Whites
  • Wednesday: Colors
  • Friday: Sheets/Towels

I always throw a load of laundry in before dinner, then dry after dinner, and fold once Aiden goes to bed. I found that building it into my routine helps me get it done rather than letting it pile up to where it gets out of control. Now that Aiden is two I am getting him in on the ‘fun’ too. He loves to jump in the pile of clean clothes after his bath and ‘help’ me fold a few pieces. It’s really cute and it’s exposing him to a chore he will be responsible for as he gets older.

Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic toddler, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Considering we may have more kids in the future, I want to document everything we do, so we remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
