We are so close to welcoming baby number two and it has been difficult to not get caught up in all the baby preparations to focus on Easter for Aiden! One easy way to celebrate holidays is to pull out the holiday themed books and read. Especially in the DC area, March and April have such crazy weather that you never know if you will have a gorgeous warm day for playing outside or if you will be stuck inside with a cold day full of rain.  I thought I would share our top 7 Easter books for toddlers. All of these can be found on Amazon!

How to Track an Easter Bunny

I found this book while browsing Barnes & Noble one day and thought it was the cutest book. It’s a simple story about a group of kids and how they set up a plan to track the Easter bunny to find all his hidden eggs. The pictures are really bright and colorful and the book is interactive. It comes with a few activies science and art activities that kids can do after the book.

Easter Egg

This is a Jan Brett book. I remember loving her books as a child and this one is no different. The pictures are so intricate and the story is very sweet. It teaches a lesson about kindness. Aiden loves looking at all the different intricately decorated eggs throughout the pages.

The Great Easter Race

Whenever Aiden spots a book with Elmo on it we have to stop to look. This is a Sesame Street “scribble” book about a race. It’s similar to the tortoise and the hare but with a surprise ending. I love the illustrations.

Happy Easter, Mouse

This has been an Easter favorite for several years now. This is great for younger toddlers because it teaches colors in a fun and simple way.

Happy Easter, Curious George

Curious George is always a favorite in our house. In this story Curious George lets the Easter Bunny loose and has to try find him. The book also comes with egg-decorating stickers.

Here Comes T. Rex Cottontail

This is a new one for us this year and one I plan to add to Aiden’s Easter basket. Aiden loves dinosaurs so I think he will love this story about a dinosaur who takes over for Peter Cottontail who is out sick.

Pete the Cat: Big Easter Adventure

Pete the Cat is always a good option for toddler books. Not only does this book have a cute story, but it also includes a poster, stickers, and a set of punch-out cards.

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic preschooler and newborn, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my first little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Realizing that we would probably have more kids in the future, I wanted to document everything, so we would remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
