We are so close to welcoming baby number two and it has been difficult to not get caught up in all the baby preparations to focus on Easter for Aiden! One easy way to celebrate holidays is to pull out the holiday themed books and read. Especially in the DC area, March and April have such crazy weather that you never know if you will have a gorgeous warm day for playing outside or if you will be stuck inside with a cold day full of rain. Top 7 Easter Books for Toddlers on Amazon
I found this book while browsing Barnes & Noble one day and thought it was the cutest book. It’s a simple story about a group of kids and how they set up a plan to track the Easter bunny to find all his hidden eggs. The pictures are really bright and colorful and the book is interactive. It comes with a few activies science and art activities that kids can do after the book.
This is a Jan Brett book. I remember loving her books as a child and this one is no different. The pictures are so intricate and the story is very sweet. It teaches a lesson about kindness. Aiden loves looking at all the different intricately decorated eggs throughout the pages.
Whenever Aiden spots a book with Elmo on it we have to stop to look. This is a Sesame Street “scribble” book about a race. It’s similar to the tortoise and the hare but with a surprise ending. I love the illustrations.
This has been an Easter favorite for several years now. This is great for younger toddlers because it teaches colors in a fun and simple way.
Curious George is always a favorite in our house. In this story Curious George lets the Easter Bunny loose and has to try find him. The book also comes with egg-decorating stickers.
This is a new one for us this year and one I plan to add to Aiden’s Easter basket. Aiden loves dinosaurs so I think he will love this story about a dinosaur who takes over for Peter Cottontail who is out sick.
Pete the Cat is always a good option for toddler books. Not only does this book have a cute story, but it also includes a poster, stickers, and a set of punch-out cards.
