Our favorite Christmas books for Toddlers:
The Polar Express:
This is a childhood favorite of mine that I love reading to Aiden now. I think this is a book that will grow with him!
The Grinch:
We are all about the Grinch this year. We saw the movie in theatres and Aiden loved it. He is a Dr. Seuss fan in general so this one was an instant Christmas favorite this year.
Snowmen at Christmas:
This is part of a series of books that I think are super cute. This one is about how the snowmen that children make during the day come to life and celebrate Christmas. The illustrations are really colorful and beautiful.
Reindeer’s Nosy Christmas:
Aiden found this at Barnes and Noble one day and hasn’t really put it down since. It’s a board book and interactive with different textures to go along with the story.
Santa is Coming to Virginia:
Living in Virginia we had to pick this book up. It’s sort of like a personalized book, but it’s personalized for where we live. It mentions several landmarks and cities in Virginia, so it’s a fun one to read.
If you Take a Mouse to the Movies:
I love the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie books and this one is really cute. I originally picked it up for when we took Aiden to the movies, but it’s actually a Christmas story so I thought I would add it here!
The Night Before Christmas:
This is another classic. My family had a tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas every Christmas Eve and I am continuing that tradition with Aiden.
Dream Snow:
I love anything by Eric Carle and this book is no exception. The colorful illustrations really capture Aiden’s attention and the simple story is perfect for shorter attention spans.
A Christmas Wish for Corduroy:
Aiden is a big fan of Corduroy so I knew this would be a hit with him. It goes back to the days when Corduroy was still in the department store and his adventure to try and find a home for Christmas.
Little Blue Truck’s Christmas:
We love all the Little Blue Truck books and this one is no exception. We love reading about the Little Blue Truck dropping Christmas trees to his friends!
