Happy Thanksgiving!

I was hoping that Thanksgiving wouldn’t come so quickly this year. It’s bittersweet for me because it’s Aiden’s second to last” first” and his last first (first birthday) is next week. However, it came and went and we had a ton of fun visiting family. I think Thanksgiving will be Aiden’s favorite holiday based on all the food he got to eat today.

We also had fun walking, dressing up in this adorable first Thanksgiving outfit by Cuddle Sleep Dream and watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade before heading over to eat dinner with family. Since some family won’t be able to attend his birthday party, Aiden had his first birthday cake. He loved it (of course).

Last year at Thanksgiving I was one day before my due date and very uncomfortable. I had Aiden two days later. It still seems like yesterday that I was wishing and hoping for him to come out. Now, I sort of wish I could go back in time. As much as I wish I could keep him as a little baby forever I am looking forward to watching him grow and experience many more adventures.

Anyway, I am so very thankful for my little family and for this little boy who has totally changed my life.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

About Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to my baby Aiden Milo (born November 2015), and a police wife to my husband Dan. I started this blog because, after having Aiden, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the er-lovely (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Considering we may have more kids in the future, I want to document everything we do, so we remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
