The Top 9 Best Christmas Movies for Toddlers

This year Aiden has been so much more aware of the holidays. He is obsessed with pointing out Santa anywhere we go and he loves anything to do with reindeer or snow. This goes for movies too. I have been sharing a lot of my old holiday favorites with him and we have been exploring some new ones together. Here is a roundup of the nine best Christmas movies for toddlers.

The Grinch: Aiden loves both the cartoon version and the newest version that is in theaters. You can read my post on taking a toddler to see The Grinch in theaters here.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town: This is a holiday classic in our house and it looks like Aiden is on board. We watched it several times this holiday season.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: This is another classic. Aiden is obsessed with Rudolph and frequently requests this movie.

Trolls Holiday: This is a newer movie that came out last year. Aiden loves the movie Trolls so I knew he would love the holiday special too. I love that it has all the original actors from the movie. The story is about the Trolls giving a holiday to the Bergens so it’s not overly Christmas.

Frosty the Snowman: Aiden loves snowmen so I knew this would be a hit. He gets a kick out of Frosty coming to life.

Frozen: OK, this is not really a Christmas movie, but I had to add it to the list. I mean it has snow, right…? We start watching this around Thanksgiving and Aiden basically asks for it every day. If your toddler is into Frozen there is also a holiday special called Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.

Super Monsters and the Wish Star: Aiden loves this series on Netflix and there is a cute holiday special. It covers several holidays so introduces other holidays which I really like.

Kung Fu Panda Holiday: Aiden loves the animals in Kung Fu Panda. This action-packed Christmas adventure really captures his attention. It’s available to stream on Netflix.

If you Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie: This is based on the popular If You Give a Mouse a Cookie book. It is available on Amazon Prime and is super cute!

Hi, I’m Melissa! I am a mama to an energetic toddler, a wife to my amazing husband Dan, and I work full-time as a meeting planner. I started this blog because, after having my little guy, I quickly learned that exhaustion and baby brain causes you to forget some of the amazing (sometimes horrible and sometimes wonderful) details related to the first several months of raising a baby. Considering we may have more kids in the future, I want to document everything we do, so we remember what worked the first time around, and hopefully help other first time mamas along the way!
