Considering Aiden fits perfectly within this category I couldn’t really NOT write a post about the best gifts for the 9-12 months age group. I remember it wasn’t so long ago that I wrote a post about the best first birthday gifts and I was totally clueless about what a baby that age would need! Well, here I am officially with a one-year-old (he wasn’t one when I wrote this BTW so it’s a little strange!) and this is basically Aiden’s list. Here is a list of gift ideas for babies 9-12 months.

Balls and blocks: Balls of any kind. I think right now, this is one of Aiden’s favorite toys. We have our ball pit and a bouncy ball and this cool bowling set. I added these balls to Aiden’s Christmas list. We are working on our building and fine motor skills and blocks are great for that. I added a few different options to Aiden’s list like these Mega Blocks and these Squeeze Blocks.
Hat: Aiden doesn’t have a ton of hair, so in the winter he needs a hat. I am kind of obsessed with these bomber hats from Boss Threads Etsy!
Baby Electronics: OK I don’t really know what to classify these as far as category, but Aiden LOVES our keys, cell phone and TV remote. Now is the perfect age to get him this baby phone and keys. I am excited for him to have his own so that he stops dialing random people from my phone 😮 !
Beatbo or Beatbo’s Dog: We already have Beatbo and Aiden loves it. He will seriously sit for 15-20 minutes pressing the buttons, clapping and dancing. So if you don’t already have one I recommend that first. However, if you do already have it. Do you know Beatbo has a dog? Added to our list!
Piano: Around this age, you may notice babies are more into music. Aiden is always dancing and singing and he loves his toys that play music. This Melissa and Doug piano is perfect for the little musician in your life!
Bath Toys: We are moving from our baby bath to the actual bath tub and there is more room for bath time fun. There are so many fun bath toys that will ensure your baby continues to love bath time. Vinyl books are fun or these color bath drops, Amazon also has tons of “add on items” for bath toys which would make great stocking stuffers.
Eating Supplies: If you haven’t stocked up on plates and utensils for baby, now is a perfect time to do so. Your baby will be transitioning from a mostly liquid milk diet to more solid foods, plus they need to learn how to eat like civilized people. These ezpz Happy Mats are great especially if you are going out to eat. I also love these Dylbug plates. They are a PERFECT gift idea. For utensils, you can get the numnum gootensils or this Toddler Cutlery Set.
Rocking horse (or other animal): I have tons of great childhood memories of my rocking horses (we had a few). It’s a great addition to his play space and will allow for creative play. I love the Critters Chocolate Moose Rocker which is a great price on Wayfair.
My First Anywhere Chair: Now that your baby is more independent and sitting on his own, the My First Anywhere Chair is a great addition to the living room or playroom. Plus your little one will feel like a big kid when he is sitting like mommy and daddy! Plus it is on super sale right now.
A First Book of Things: Pinhole Press sells a Custom Board Book of Names and Faces. Instead of narrowing it to names and faces I made mine a book of things by putting photos of Aiden with things (ie; ducks, beach, rain, peach, balls, etc.).
